James Ramsden KC presents keynote at EU AML/CFT Global Facility in Amman, Jordan

James Ramsden KC presented a keynote at the European Union’s Global Facility on Anti-Money Laundering & Countering the Financing of Terrorism early today in Amman, Jordan. This forum is focussing on crypto assets and cyber crime.
The Facility aims to encourage collaboration between the EU and the countries of the MENA region to address the regulation and cross border tracing and recovery of crypto assets and to help inform legislators and regulators as to what is needed to do so effectively.
Astraea Group is proud to be associated with this initiative and to have been invited by the Facility to present to such an internationally diverse, informed and engaged delegation.
James Ramsden KC commented:
Sharing our own experience and expertise with other lawyers, legislators and law enforcement is the best way to tackle the “bad actors” who will always gravitate to a sector that is presently characterised by volatility, anonymity and patchy governance. Sincere thanks to Arnaud Stien for pulling together this excellent forum. To the EU AML/CFT. And to our wonderful Jordanian hosts.
